We spent this issue with people who make clothes slowly. A tailor in Naples who has sat at the same machine for forty years. A knitwear studio in the Scottish Borders that still washes every piece by hand. The ateliers behind the shows, where the actual work happens.
The thread through all of it is proportion. Not trends, not colours, not the loudest thing on the runway, but the quiet decisions about where a shoulder sits and how long a sleeve should be. Those decisions are what you are paying for. This issue is about learning to see them.
