Leather, reconsidered

The biker jacket has been softened, lengthened and worn with a tie. It works.

The leather jacket used to be a signal. This season it is simply a jacket, cut like a blazer, in a tan that looks better the more it is worn.

Wear it the way the men in these pictures do: over a shirt and tie, with wool trousers, as if it were the most ordinary thing in the world. The trick is the collar, which should be soft enough to sit under the lapel.
